Cats
I've always found it strange how easily cats get flattened into a stereotype: aloof, cold, antisocial, “jerks.” As if their preference for independence is some kind of moral flaw. And as much as I like to say that dogs have "owners," rabbits have "bonded partners," and cats have "slaves," it is true that anyone who has actually taken the time to understand how cats communicate knows that they are attentive in a way that can be unnerving. They notice everything. They can memorize your rhythms....
